In the city of Edessa , next to the famous waterfalls at the entrance of the old Christian quarter ” Varosi ” is our hostel Hayati . The name of the hotel ” Hayati ” comes from the word loggia , which means ? covered and open balcony on the inside of a traditional house .

The building dates from 1880 and was the residence of the family Mitsinaki . The building was renovated and remodeled into a guesthouse by the family Mitsinaki and began operation in the spring of 2004 .

The restoration was reverently with much care , love and respect for tradition , using only stone and wood to keep the style of the region and the aesthetic. Every corner of the hostel is unique and exudes a sense of genuine Macedonian .
