Our restaurant has been operating since 1992 in one of the most picturesque settlements of Hydra, Kamini. It has been built with love and affection by the Vlachodimitris family, with Dimitris setting out to transform a dilapidated historic property into a welcoming, Greek tavern, which he named Kontylenias.
This characteristic Hydra name comes from Dimitris’ mother, Mrs. Kondylos, who generously and with special care gave her cooking secrets to Dimitris’ wife, Eleni.
The following menu is based on this eternally creative collaboration, with dishes inspired by traditional Greek cuisine, paying particular attention to the fish and squid of our island, as well as our olive oil and honey production.
Our goal is for you to enjoy our Greek taste experiments, offering you an unforgettable combination of family atmosphere, relaxed music and a magical Mediterranean sunset.
